The dog days of summer have been hounding the good people of Southwestern Ontario for the past few weeks. It was no surprise that visitors to downtown St. Thomas Iron Horse Festival four day extravaganza were looking to find cool comfort in talking curling with the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier volunteers.
The Kathy O’Rourke team took its brooms to the streets of Charlottetown acting as the official parade Marshall’s of the 49th The Gold Cup Parade, August 20th.
Old Home week, one of Prince Edward Island’s best-loved traditions, has arrived. Since 1888, Islanders and visitors alike have come to Charlottetown to take part in the vast array of fun, educational and community activities that make up Old Home Week.
The primary goal of Rock ‘n’ August is to continue to contribute to Diabetes research and education. The goal for this year’s event was to bring over $125,000 for research to doctors and researchers who specialize in this disease that affects one in four Canadians.
Everybody loves a parade! Which made the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede parade the best place to show off the Canada Cup and its terrific volunteers and sponsors.
The 2011 Tim Hortons Brier promotional team was on hand throughout the Civic Holiday weekend at Canada’s largest annual Ribfest held in London’s Victoria Park.
On July 24th the 21st Annual Downtown Chili Cook Off organized by the City Centre Development Agency (CCDA) became home for some good eating.
Volunteers were in place throughout the weekend of July 16 – 18 at London’s Victoria Park to share the message of the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier to tens of thousands at the Home County Folk Festival.
